The
decision taken by S. M. Sohail Trust to establish
an A' Level school and a College of Business Studies
teaching for the University of London External Programme
is based on its desire to raise the standard of
education in Pakistan. Conscious that a high level
of professional competence has to be attained by
students, JUC has planned a system of instruction
in which the emphasis is on interactive, small group
tutorials and problem-based learning designed for
the purpose of successfully passing the University
of London exams and the CIE exams. |
|
Our
goal is to provide the students with the environment
and the opportunities that are available to students
in the West. For this purpose JUC has developed
a voluminous library, spacious labs, state of the
art computer facilities and an excellent co-curricular
programme. The other units of the Trust have created
precedence for student participation in Drama, Literary
Societies, Debates, Singing, Art and Sports. |
| The
raison d’etre of JUC is to mould the students into
well-rounded individuals and to develop in them
incisive analytical skills that will be used in
their undergraduate studies. The goal is to impart
liberal education so that they become modern adults
with a strong cultural identity. The extra curricular
activities at JUC will allow students to enhance
their individual talents and yet learn to work as
team members. This will inculcate in them a desire
to contribute to the development of our country. |
| We
hope that students who graduate from JUC will become
important members of society as successful professionals
with necessary management skills and the ability
to plan for self-improvement. At the completion
of their studies the students at JUC will have a
strong identity, a well-rounded personality, an
eclectic and modern education and a British degree. |
