| JUC
is committed to providing a congenial and conducive environment
that is essential for the overall growth and development
of its students. The School aims to promote learning that,
in addition to knowledge and skills will provide graduates
with a broader vision. We earnestly hope that the students
and their parents support the school in maintaining its
desired standards. It is expected that students will adhere
to the policies and abide by the rules and regulations
of the School. |
| Students
are to assume personal responsibility for the honesty
and integrity of all activities, including respect for
policies, programs, faculty and staff. Students are expected
to observe generally accepted standards of conduct. JUC
reserves the rights to take action against students indulging
in activities that are injurious to the interest of the
School, faculty or others. |
| Any
evidence of academic dishonesty such as copying the work
of another or offering unauthorized assistance to another
student may lead to expulsion from JUC.
|
| A
counselor coordinated through the Student Affairs Office
will counsel any student who fails to make satisfactory
progress. If progress is still not satisfactory after
counseling, the parents will be contacted and a parent
–councilor meeting scheduled. The Disciplinary Committee
will make decisions regarding any actions to be taken
for unsatisfactory performance or behavior of any student.
After repeated counseling and continued unsatisfactory
performance by the students, the student will be asked
to withdraw. The student may request the Appeals Committee
(Principal, Director, Head Boy, Head Girl and Chairman
of the Board of Governors) to review any decision.

Any
student requiring advice on academic or personal matters
should seek the help of the Academic Counselor,
Student Affairs. Students will be assigned a tutor/ advisor
who will monitor their academic progress. Students are
required to meet with their faculty advisor at least once
a week, but may meet more often as necessary. Matters
discussed between students and counselors are considered
confidential.

Attendance
|
| Attendance
in each subject is compulsory and no student shall be
eligible to appear in midterm exams and mock exams unless
they have attended 80% of the lectures and practical for
that course. Attendance is counted from the first day
of the semester and not from the date of admission. Students
called for participation in school activities and sports
will be given exemption in attendance for the actual period.
These cases are to be decided individually.

Affairs Department |
| This
department coordinates the students’ daily schedules and
deals with all administrative matters pertaining to students
including admissions, enrollment, attendance, examination
records, and discipline. Counseling services are available
as required by the students for both academic and personal
matters. This office provides a liaison between
the students, teachers, parents and faculty/administration.

Academic
Counseling |
| All
students will be assigned an academic councilor. The councilor
will be responsible for over seeing the
monthly performance of the each student
(attendance, grades etc) and will also help students with
their admissions to universities at home and abroad. University
applications will be dealt with towards the end of the
first year. Students and their parents will be reminded
of that. One on one session will be held with the student
and if necessary the parents as well to enlighten the
students of university requirements. The councilor will
entertain with each student the option to fill 10 applications
to American Universities, 6 Canadian universities and
as many as UCAS allows for UK universities. There are
no limits to applying to Pakistani universities.

Discipline,
Withdrawals and Expulsions
|
| All
students are required to follow the rules and regulations
of the School. The Disciplinary Committee will deal with
any infraction of the rules. Dishonesty, cheating, destruction
of property, physical violence, violation of rights of
person or property of others, unexplained absences may
all be reasons for dismissal from the School. In such
case, tuition fee will not be refunded.

Appeals
|
| All
disputed decisions will be referred to the Appeals Committee,
whose decision will be final.
|

Dress
Code |
| Students
must wear the appropriate uniforms for boys and girls.
White coats are to be worn at all times for laboratory
work or else they will not be allowed in the labs.
